BA Conference 2020
'A tribe that anyone can join'
It is with great pleasure that The Booksellers' Association announce the details of their 2020 annual Conference, which this year will be held on the 1st - 2nd November at a new venue in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
The event opens with the Gardners Trade Show which takes place on the Sunday, followed by conference activity. BA members attend this annual event free of charge thanks to ongoing support from Gardners.
The Conference boasts a packed programme of events; there is something for everyone within all areas of the industry. Anyone with an interest in the book trade is invited to apply to attend.
Following the Conference's start at the Gardners Tradeshow, the Sunday evening will see a Conference Dinner for all delegates, sponsored by The Independent Alliance, which has become an annual highlight of the event.
On the Monday we enter full-swing Conference mode with workshops and sessions that explore a range of topics relevant to booksellers, as sponsored by the Unwin Charitable Trust. Workshops offered in 2019 included pre-orders, running events, investing in inclusivity and more. As well as this, there will be the ever-expanding publisher Fever Pitch - growing in popularity with every conference we hold.
It all culminates on the Monday night with a special bookseller dinner hosted by Puffin, who this year will be celebrating their 80th birthday.
We look forward to sharing more details with you as we enter the new year.
